Queen opens anniversary year

On Monday 23 November, The Queen attended the opening of the 150th anniversary year of The Queen Silvia Children's Hospital.
The Queen officially opened the anniversary and inaugurated a “Healing Room" by opening the door for the children.

The Healing Room is a care room on the ward for children and young people with heart conditions. The room was decorated by two designers from Kontor Kontur in consultation with children and young people, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

A special care environment has been created in order to encourage a focus on the healthy aspects of the sick child. The Healing Room also has computers for the children on the ward.
