On Monday 25 May, The Queen launched the 200th anniversary of Manilla School.

During the launch, The Queen also attended the pupils' exhibition, "Manilla School 1809- 2009." Pupils from nursery age up to year 10 explained how Pär-Aron Borg founded the school, and that his son Ossian took over as headmaster and continued to develop it. The pupils also informed about the official recognition of sign language.
