Queen launches Manilla School's 200th anniversary week

On Monday 25 May, The Queen launched the 200th anniversary of Manilla School.

During the launch, The Queen also attended the pupils' exhibition, "Manilla School 1809- 2009." Pupils from nursery age up to year 10 explained how Pär-Aron Borg founded the school, and that his son Ossian took over as headmaster and continued to develop it. The pupils also informed about the official recognition of sign language.
