King presents Patriotic Society's medals

During a ceremony at Riddarhuset today, The King will be presenting the Royal Patriotic Society's trade and industry medals. The medal is awarded for outstanding entrepreneurship, and the recipients represent a variety of businesses within Swedish trade and industry. They are united by the fact that they have spent several years building up a successful business.

The Royal Patriotic Society was established in 1772 by King Gustav III. In 1982, a special award was instituted to recognise commendable individual contributions to Swedish trade and industry.
