In his opening speech, The King spoke about the Bicentenary and announced that in August he will be travelling to Norrland with The Queen and The Crown Princess to take part in reminiscences of the last battle on Swedish soil, which took place in Sävar and Ratan during the war between Russia and Sweden in 1809.
The King concluded his speech by offering his “congratulations on an interesting exhibition, which will hopefully improve knowledge of and interest in Sweden and Finland's joint history."
