On Saturday 4 April, The King paid a visit to Gothenburg and followed the Elfsborg Battalion's artillery exercises with the National Protection Force - The Home Guard. The troops' skills, and the implementation of the exercise, were inspected by the Chief of the Home Guard, Brigadier Roland Ekenberg.

The King observed certain parts of the exercise, including at the Remmene artillery range and Säve depot.

A total of around 500 people took part from the Elfsborg Battalion during the exercise, which was carried out in various stages and at several different locations during the weekend.
