King and Queen's state visit to Italy, day 3

On Thursday 26 March, The King and Queen concluded their visit to Rome by meeting the UN organisation in Rome , and then travelling on to Bologna.

The King and Queen began their visit to Bologna by visiting Archiginnasio, the oldest faculty at the University of Bologna.

Afterwards, The King and Queen attended the Swedish Institute's exhibition, “Quality of Life", at the Museum of Palazzo Poggi. The exhibition displayed Swedish inventions and quality Swedish design.

Afterwards, The King and Queen participated in the conference, "Sweden and the EU - Challenges Ahead", in the Aula Absidale lecture theatre at the University of Bologna. There is a link to The King's speech at the conference in the right-hand column.

The evening ended with a dinner at the Prefect's Palace, Palazzo Caprara.
