King and Queen give reciprocal dinner in the Netherlands

On Wednesday 22 April, The King and Queen held their reciprocal dinner for Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands at Nieuwe of Litteraire Societeit de Witte in The Hague.

Guests included Crown Prince Willem Alexander, Crown Princess Maxima, Princess Margriet with her husband Professro van Vollenhoven, and Prime Minister Balkenende.

Nieuwe of Litteraire Societeit de Witte is a society that was originally established in 1802 as a men's club, but which is now open to both women and men. The purpose of the society is to promote literature, history and other disciplines.
