On Friday 23 October, The Crown Princess reopened Rådhuset, the Stockholm Court House.
In her opening speech, The Crown Princess said that "following the completion of rebuilding work and renovations, the district court can now once again gather in the court house that was originally completed in 1915. This building, which is considered one of the masterpieces of Swedish national romanticism, has now been given modern premises suited to its purpose, while still retaining its special character.
"It's particularly pleasing to be given the chance to reopen Rådhuset today, since it was my great great grandfather, King Gustav V, together with Prince Carl and Prince Eugen, who originally opened the building in 1915."
