The Queen Holds Opening Speech at Conference on Dementia

Queen Silvia held the opening speech at the first National Geriatric Women´s Forum (Nationellt Geriatriskt Kvinnoforum) in Stockholm on January 25th. Over 100 female specialists from across Sweden attended, representing the senior citizens health care sector. The forum focused on the subject matter of dementia.

Different forms of dementia treatment, what one should think about when being treated for dementia as well as different ideas concerning health care were discussed. A new prize was also announced at the forum, “Best Female Colleague."

The forum was arranged by Silviahemmet and the Swedish Society for Geriatric Medicine.
