The Queen Hands Out Scholarships

On January 23rd Queen Silvia handed out scholarships from the Queen Silvia Jubilee Fund for research on children and disability to 4 proud recipients. The names of the recipients were made public in connection with The Queen´s birthday on December 23rd.

The Queen Silvia Jubilee Fund for research on children and disability was founded in connection with H.M. The Queen´s 50th birthday, and manages and distributes the congratulatory funds which came in from the Swedish people on that occasion.

The scholarships are granted annually and can be applied for by, preferably, students that have been admitted to post-graduate studies at Sweden´s universities and colleges. Every year a specific research area is prioritised.
