King Carl XVI Gustaf opened the 61st World Association of Newspaper (WAN) Congress in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 2. The WAN Congress takes place between June 1-4, and has gathered a record number of 1 800 delegates from all over the world. WAN was founded in 1948, and today it represents newspaper executives within more than 18 000 publications on five continents.
