State visit to Ukraine: Day 2

The second day of the state visit began with The King and Yushchenko taking part in the Ukrainian-Swedish Business Seminar at the Radisson SAS Hotel. After this there followed the opening of the exhibition "History's crossroads" at the National Museum of History. The exhibition is a collaboration between the museum and Swedish museums. The focus of the exhibition is on historical contacts between Sweden and Ukraine from the 17th century up until the Battle of Poltava.
Later The King visited the "Antonov" aircraft factory, while The Queen visited "Mama +", a day centre for Mothers with HIV and their children.

Lunch with Prime Minister Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko hosted a lunch for The King and Queen, which was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The King and Queen then attended a reception at the Swedish Embassy in Kiev.
The evening was rounded off with a gala performance and reciprocal reception at the National Opera House in Kiev.
