The 3 September marked the 10th anniversary of "Pensioners´ Day" on Ekerö. The Queen took the initiative in establishing the day, and in the early years it was celebrated in Drottningholm Park. Ekerö municipality has been hosting the event since 2000.

“Pensioners´ Day" 2008 was celebrated in Mälarö church due to the bad weather.
