King visits New York and Detroit

On Wednesday 24 September, The King began a five-day visit to the USA. The King was invited to events surrounding "The Year of Going Green", organised by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York. The King attended and spoke at the "Green Summit", where the theme was: "Can the Swedish experience convert hype to hope?". Prior to the closing “Royal Green Award Dinner" on Thursday evening, The King met Swedish correspondents in the USA, where one of the topics for discussion was Swedish environmental technology.

Swedish-American joint project


The visit will continue on Friday and Saturday in Detroit ,Michigan, where The King will participate in a seminar on alternative energy sources and sustainable development. The King will also be visiting a biogas project, which is a joint venture between Swedish Biogas and the city of Flint.
