The Queen Honored with “die Quadriga" Award

On Wednesday, October 3rd, Queen Silvia received "die Quadriga – Untied We Care"  award, at the Komische Oper in Berlin.

The award honors The Queen´s humanitarian work, especially when it comes to helping vulnerable children. According to “die Quadriga," it is through The Queen´s foundations and projects that “humanitarian ethics, courage and life perspective" becomes reality.

The Queen received the award from last year´s recipient, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

It was the 5th time “die Quadriga" was awarded on Germany´s National Day (Tag der deutschen Einheit), and amongst the other winners were former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, Aicha El-Wafi and Phyllis Rodriguez, as well as the German magazine "Der Spiegel".
