The Queen also visited naturum Höga Kusten (High Coast), one of Sweden´s largest information and exhibition centers, which opened on June 20 of this year and is situated at the foot of Skuleberget.
The center is also a museum for the World Heritage Listed Höga Kusten, and The Queen opened the pedagogical area aimed at children and young people with special needs.
The Queen also opened Mellan Norlands Hospice, a guest house specializing in health care for those reaching the end of their lives. The hospice is built on the banks of the lake Sidsjön.
Queen Silvia also visited Permobil in Timrå. The company, which was founded in 1963 by doctor and inventor Per Uddén, is today one of the leading manufacturers of motorized wheel chairs.
