Princess Madeleine Visits Gävle

On Tuesday September 25 H.R.H Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, visited the town of Gävle.
The Princess began her visit at the County Museum, which houses some 260 objects dating from the 17th Century through to the present.
Princess Madeleine also visited Gävle Castle where she awarded this year´s winner of the Princess Madeleine Scholarship to Anna Engholm of the Gävle Pony Club. After the award ceremony County Governor Christer Eirefelt and his wife Gudurn Eirefelt hosted a small informal lunch at the castle.
The Princess also attended the 450th Anniversary Celebration of Vasaskolan. The anniversary celebration of the upper secondary school started with a jubilee service at the Heliga Trefaldighetskyrkan and continued with a special jubilee performance at the Gävle Theatre.
