Crown Princess Inaugurates the Victoria School on Madeira

On Friday, November 6th, Crown Princess Victoria inaugurated Escola Princesa Victoria (The Victoria School) on Madeira.

The school is part of  Hospicio Donna Maria Amélia, founded by Empress Amelie of Brazil (sister to Sweden´s Queen Josefina) after her daughter passed away from a lung related health problem.

The Crown Princess also met with staff and board members during her visit to Hospicio Donna Maria Amélia. The former hospital for lung related health problems is now a day care center, a school, an orphanage and a home for the elderly.
