Christmas Calendar at The Royal Palace

Some 400 people gathered on Thursday, December 13th, to watch Queen Silvia participate in the Mäster Olofsgården´s “Old Town´s Live Christmas Calendar."

After the church bells from Storkyrkan stopped ringing The Queen was welcomed by a fanfare, after which Queen Silvia opened window number 13 of the calendar.

There was also live music and Göran Alm, head of the Bernadaotte Library, told the many spectators how Christmas was celebrated at the Royal Palace during the time of King Oscar II and Queen Sofia.

H.M. The Queen also took the opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
