Application for photo and media positions at the wedding of H.R.H. Princess Madeleine and Mr Christopher O'Neill

As of today, Thursday 16 May, Swedish and international media can apply for access to photo and media positions around the Royal Palace of Stockholm, along the cortège route and at Drottningholm Palace.

Application for photo positions was closed on May 28th
There are a limited number of places available.

The application period is Thursday 16 May, up to and including Monday 27 May. Applications submitted after 27 May will not be considered.

Allocation of seats in photo positions will be published on Thursday 30 May at 1.00 p.m. at www.kungahuset.se/pressrumexternal link and www.kungahuset.se/royalcourt/mediacentreexternal link

Position cards for Swedish and international media will be handed out at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) International Press Centre at Fredsgatan 6 on Friday 7 June and Saturday 8 June.

A limited number of reporters will be invited by the Royal Court to the wedding ceremony in the Royal Chapel on June 8.

MFA International Press Centre


The MFA International Press Centre at Fredsgatan 6 in central Stockholm will function as the media centre for international media in connection with the wedding on Saturday 8 June. The MFA´s International Press Centre is open Monday—Thursday, 8.00 a.m. — 6.00 p.m., Friday 8.00 a.m. — 8.00 p.m. and Saturday 8 June, 9.00 a.m. — 10.00 p.m.

Sveriges television's (SVT) live broadcast from the wedding will be shown on a big screen in the media centre. There will also be an English translator and a representative from the Royal Court on site at the media centre.

Sveriges television host broadcaster


Sveriges television has the broadcasting rights for the royal wedding.

The arrival of the guests at the Royal Chapel, the wedding ceremony, the cortège and arrival at Drottningholm Palace will be broadcast live by Sveriges television. See broadcasting times at www.svt.seexternal link. Sveriges Television will also be broadcasting live on www.svtplay.seexternal link
