Inauguration of new concert piano

The Royal Palace Music Festival continues, Wednesday, August 15 at 19:30 with the public inauguration of the Royal Palace´s new concert piano in the Hall of State, with H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria in attendance.
Internationally renowned concert pianist, Per Tengstrand (whom the New York Times calls a "superb Swedish pianist") will be performing classic pieces from Mozart, Brahms, Liszt, as well as Prokifiev and Salonen.

The concert piano was produced by Steinway & Sons, and its acquisition was made possible thanks to a contribution from the Wallenberg Foundation.

It is H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf´s hope that the instrument will lead to much music and that concerts will be a meeting place for many guests and visitors.
