The Crown Princess attends the 2017 Gordon Godman Memorial Lecture

On Thursday 21 September, The Crown Princess attended the 2017 Gordon Goodman Memorial Lecture at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. This year's lecture was given by Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change at the University of Manchester.

To honour the memory of Gordon Goodman, Director of the Beijer Institute at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA) from 1977 until 1989 and Director of SEI from 1989 until 1991, Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) arranges a lecture each year in association with KVA and Stockholm University.

This year's lecturer was Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change at the University of Manchester. Professor Anderson is one of the UK's most widely recognised and respected climate researchers, and has extensive experience of communicating climate science to decision-makers, industry, civil society and the media. He himself has not flown for 12 years, for environmental reasons.
