The Crown Princess, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar accept Christmas trees

On Thursday 14 December, The Crown Princess, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar accepted Christmas trees from forestry programme students from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences has presented Christmas trees to the Royal Palace of Stockholm since the late 1960s. The Nordmann fir is commonly known as "the King's fir" in Sweden as a result of this tradition.

As is traditional, the Christmas trees were presented at the East Gate. Photo: royalcourt.se
