On Tuesday 23 September, The Crown Princess held an audience with children's language researcher Patricia Kuhl and her husband Andrew Meltzoff at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
Professor Kuhl is visiting Stockholm to give a lecture at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and is being awarded an honorary doctorate at Stockholm University. She is a Professor of Speech and Hearing at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has collaborated for many years through her research into early infant perception of spoken sounds with Stockholm Babylab at Stockholm University's Department of Linguistics.
Andrew Meltzoff has won international recognition as a researcher of paediatric and developmental psychology.
