On Wednesday 17 December, The Crown Princess and Princess Estelle accepted Christmas trees from students on the Forestry Programme at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

Since the late 1960s, SLU has presented Christmas trees to the Royal Palace. The Nordmann fir is commonly known as "the King's fir" in Sweden as a result of this tradition.
