The Royal Couple Opened Gate to National Day Festivities

The Royal Couple began the celebrations of Sweden´ National Day on June 6 by opening the gate to the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Thousands of visitors took the opportunity to visit the palace on this warm and sunny day full of guided tours, seminars and music.

The King and the Queen also visited the town of Södertälje south of Stockholm where they participated in the National Day celebrations. The Crown Princess payed a visit to the county of Kungälv.
In the evening, the Royal Couple, the Crown Princess and Princess Madeleine will take part in the traditional celebrations at the open-air museum Skansen in Stockholm. The day ends with the Royal Couple´s reception for representatives of the official Sweden at the Royal Palace.
